The Huon Valley PCYC Youth Drop-In Centre provides a free, safe and welcoming after-school space for young people aged 6–18 years.

Running during school terms, the Drop-In Centre gives young people somewhere to connect with others, participate in activities, have something to eat and spend time in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Young people can enjoy a range of activities including sports, games, arts and crafts, cooking, music, chess and other recreational activities. Activities vary throughout the term, with young people encouraged to get involved, try something new or simply come along and socialise.

Free food and snacks are available during Drop-In sessions.

We also work alongside local organisations and service providers to make support more accessible to young people. Visiting services may provide information and support around areas such as employment, education, wellbeing and community connection.

The Youth Drop-In Centre currently operates during school terms:

Mondays: 3:00pm–5:00pm
Wednesdays: 3:00pm–5:00pm

There is no cost to attend and young people are welcome to drop in during opening hours.

Who this service is for

Young people aged 6–18 years in the Huon Valley who are looking for a safe and welcoming place to connect with others, enjoy free activities and food, and access community support.

The program is open to young people of all backgrounds and abilities. No referral is required.

  The Youth Drop-In Centre is delivered face-to-face at Huon Valley PCYC during school terms. Young people can drop in during opening hours and participate in activities, access free food, socialise and connect with staff and visiting community service providers.
