Wellways to Recovery is a free community-based support service for Tasmanians experiencing mental health issues to set their own recovery goals and reach them.
Wellways employees and people with a lived experience of mental health issues and recovery provide mental health awareness sessions to community groups across Tasmania. We will work with any service provider or broader community group that would like to improve the awareness and understanding of mental health. We want to increase awareness of mental health and wellbeing across Tasmania.
Wellways offers Support Coordination to help you get the best start with your NDIS plan. Our Support Coordinators take a person-centred approach to work alongside you to connect you with your local support providers and ensure your individual needs and goals are met.
Wellways is an approved iCare service provider to people severely injured in motor vehicle accidents and those who have suffered a workplace injury or disease.
If you are eligible for the NDIS, our local staff can support you to be a part of your community with activities, events and programs that interest you.
If you are eligible for the NDIS we can help you with supports for personal care such as assistance with dressing and showering, as well as household chores, budgeting and planning for other activities that are important to you.
Recovery Coaching is a NDIS Support item for people with a psychosocial disability. It can be added to a new NDIS plan or replace the Support Coordination Budget in your current plan.
Wellways Discovery is a five-session peer-to-peer program for individuals and families, focused on mental health challenges and recovery through shared learning.
Tresca Community Centre offers a large range of activities, groups & classes, we also have the Exeter Online Centre in our building, a Men’s Shed, an OpShop and a playground.
The Men’s Shed located at Tresca Community Centre, Exeter, it is a well equipped shed set up for woodworking.
