Wig Library
Located in our three Support Centres in Hobart, Launceston and Devonport, Cancer Council Tasmania offers a free wig library service for clients experiencing hair loss as a result of their cancer treatment.
Clients are encouraged to borrow a wig at no cost for as long as they need it.
Wigs are fitted by trained Support Services staff and volunteers in a private and confidential setting. The wigs are provided in a bag with a brush, a wig stand and wig care instructions. We follow up with clients to make sure they are happy with their wig and to offer further assistance as required.
Cancer Council Tasmania also accepts donated wigs which are cleaned, processed and added to the library.
