What is IAR?

  1. Level 4 - High Intensity

    High Intensity

    At level 4, you will require support from a range of health professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. This is needed, as you are experiencing severe symptoms and your mental health is significantly impacting your day- to- day functioning. Access to these services will require a referral from your GP or other mental health professional as a personalised plan will need to be developed to help you manage your mental health. You can be seen in the community, or an outpatient in a hospital.

  2. Level 5 - Acute and specialist services

    Acute and specialist services

    Level 5 will require intensive support from a number of specialists. This may be case managers, psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists and drug and alcohol workers. You may be treated in hospital, or in the community by outreach workers. A team of professionals will coordinate your care and mental health recovery.
