‘Stronger Together’ free services
Monthly Centre based day respite in North Hobart
Suitable for people with early dementia diagnosis. Group participation enhances social connection, improves wellbeing and physical health and provides respite for carers.
Monthly Carer support group
Carers can enjoy some time away, whilst they connect, share ideas and experiences, meet speakers, and learn new information and skills. Groups meet monthly for 1.5 hours.
Weekly Telephone support group
Connecting carers who cannot meet in person. A small group of up to 5 carers share a weekly telephone connection for an hour to share ideas, experiences, obtain relevant information and support.
Case support service
A specialist case support worker can assist the person with dementia, their family and carers to provide guidance on future planning, support services, entitlements, care options and general support. This includes home visits where necessary
After hours telephone support
An after-hours telephone line is available to participants of the Dementia Support Service in case of crisis until 9.00pm each day.

The service is available to those living at home with early stages of dementia and their carers.
