SMART Friends & Family Group

Being in a close relationship with someone struggling with a problem behaviour can be highly stressful.

The SMART Family and Friends Program is designed to support people who are struggling with a problem behaviour related to alcohol, drug use, gambling, hoarding or other behaviours of concern.

Anglicare Tasmania holds FREE 8-week SMART Family and Friends support groups that meet in person.

They will help you to:

  • Engage in self-care, focus on your own goals and values
  • Challenge your own thinking, explore your feelings and behaviours
  • Learn self-empowerment and self-resilience, seek support and problem solve
  • Put meaning and satisfaction back into your own life.

You can register your interest in joining a SMART Family and Friends group via our website or emailing us at SMART@anglicare-tas.org.au.

If the person you support would benefit from joining a SMART Recovery Group, you can find out more here: https://www.anglicare-tas.org.au/smart-recovery/smart-recovery-groups/
