Mission Australia Housing

We provide high quality social and affordable rental housing to low and moderate-income households. Our place-based approach and tailored support coordination services help tenants to identify goals, develop plans, and connect to education, training, employment and other relevant support services to help them achieve greater levels of independence.

Who this service is for

The Affordable Housing program is for people on low to moderate incomes. Rent charged is around 75% of market rate. Current eligibility limits are available on the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) website (http://www.fahcsia.gov.au/our-responsibilities/housing-support/programs-services/national-rental-affordability-scheme).

The Social Housing program is for people who are eligible for public housing. Rent charged is 25% of income plus 100% of Commonwealth Rent Assistance (CRA). Current eligibility limits are available on the Housing Tasmania website (http://www.dhhs.tas.gov.au/housing) .
