JumpStart is our rental support program in Tasmania for 18-24 year olds who are ready for independent living and have started vocational education or training.

JumpStart is a supported program where participants live in a private rental and get tailored employment and property management support depending on their needs.

If eligible, we’ll support you into housing and help with a fixed rental subsidy.

If needed, we will support you with the skills you need to live and work on your own.

At the end of the program, you will have stable employment and a rental history to enter the private rental market on your own.

If eligible, we can assist with up to $50 per week to help you afford to rent a suitable house in Tasmania.

Tasmanians aged between 18 and 25 years of age who have regular earnings and whose rent is more than 25% of what they earn.
