Variety Tas – the Children’s Charity

Variety’s mission is to give Tassie kids a fair go in life who are at risk of falling through the gaps of the system. We do this through Grants, Scholarships, Kids Experiences, and Programs. Our grants are open all year round.

We help kids who are sick, disadvantaged, or are living with disability, under the age of 18, who cant get the support they deserve through the NDIS or other organisations. We want children to live, laugh, and learn, so they may reach their potential.

Variety is self-funded, events-based organisation, with no government funding. We rely on the generosity of our donors and corporate partners.

Variety Tasmania provides funding to assist families and organisations purchase practical equipment and resources, and to deliver programs and experiences.

Examples of items that Variety Tasmania has granted in the past include:

bikes, including modified bikes,
iPads,
Scholarships in the arts, sports, music, and academic,
speech aids,
school sports fee,
playground equipment,
feeding pumps,
E-Z vests and more.

Who this service is for

We help Tassie kids under the age of 18 years old who are sick, disadvantaged or are living with disability, who need support but cant get it from anywhere else.

Variety's support is not bound by condition, location, age group, or background.

We also support families through the Variety Freya Fund and organisations through Variety Community Grants
