After School, Weekend and Residential Camps
At Edmund Rice Community Services Tasmania (ERCS), we create opportunities for children, young people, and young adults to enjoy experiences they might not otherwise have. Inspired by the legacy of Edmund Rice, our programs are dedicated to empowering marginalized and minority groups. We offer fun, safe, and inclusive environments that encourage acceptance, challenge, and personal growth.
Our programs include after school, weekend and residential camp as well as presentations to schools around leadership, motivation and volunteering.

Who this service is for
Participants
At Edmund Rice Community Services Tasmania, our programs primarily cater to children aged 8 to 12 years (Grades 3-6) from diverse backgrounds and locations across Tasmania. We warmly welcome everyone and typically pair participants with a volunteer mentor for the duration of the program.
Volunteers
Our volunteer mentors, aged 16 to 23, hail from all over Tasmania. This pairing fosters connections and positive interactions, nurturing friendships and trust. Participants and volunteers leave our programs feeling empowered and enriched, having learned more about themselves, others, and life. Through a variety of activities, camp participants build relationships, understand each other better, and stand in solidarity.
