If you would like to help a child in need, foster care is an excellent way to do so. There are numerous options for providing foster care, tailored to suit your lifestyle and needs.

Baptcare is here to support you from your very first call or email. We offer training, answer your questions, and provide ongoing support 24/7. Even if you do not feel ready to become a carer, we are here to discuss what is involved.

Who this service is for

Foster carers come from all walks of life. There is no such thing as a typical foster care household. If you can provide a safe and nurturing environment for a child in need, we would love to talk to you.

Foster carers must be over 21 years of age, have adequate space in their home, have no criminal record, and pass a police check as well as a relevant working with vulnerable persons/children check.

The Horizons team provides short-term, outreach support assisting people in building strategies, skills and resources to work towards individual goals for their personal recovery. Individual, client-led support can be provided for up to 26 weeks.
