Emergency Relief – Hobart City Mission

We help clients by providing food packs, food vouchers, personal hygiene packs, clothing and furniture. We can also assist in the payment and management of electricity, gas or phone bills.

Food packs are provided without appointment, to anyone who needs it.

Assessment appointments are made for people requiring vouchers and further assistance. In these assessment appointments, you will sit down with an Emergency Assistance officer to work through your finances and find how we can help you. Depending on your situation we may provide you with food vouchers, vouchers for clothing and furniture from our City Mission Op Shops, or assist you in paying certain bills.

Hobart - Food packs are available from Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.
Emergency Assistance appointments are available Monday to Friday.

Moonah - Food packs are available from Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm (Closed for Lunch 1pm - 2pm).
Emergency Assistance appointments are available Monday to Friday.

Oatlands - Food packs are Emergency Assistance appointments are available Monday to Friday by appointment only.

    Visit our Hobart & Moonah offices to receive immediate assistance in the form of food packs or call us to make an appointment. Assistance at Oatlands is via appointment only.

  • Call or visit us online

    Call us to make an Emergency Assistance appointment on 6215 4200 between 8:30am - 5pm Mon to Fri.
    Appointments book out very quickly so make sure to call as close to 8.30am as possible. Your appointment will be made for the following day.
