Emergencies Ministry

The Tasmanian Council of Churches Emergencies Ministry volunteers are deployed at the request of government to bring compassion to affected people in times of crisis. Limited support is available at other times by arrangement.

The volunteers are faith-based, and have knowledge and skills related to Psychological First Aid and Emotional Spiritual Care. They provide support to those of all faiths and beliefs (or none).

Our usual deployments are to evacuation centres but we also provide support over the phone and on outreach.
