Community Kinship Program Educator

Community Kinship Program Educator will provide a key service contact point for informal kinship carers in the Northwest of Tasmania. This will be an opportunity for carers and service providers to assist them navigate through the service system. This will also enhance access to support and advice and coordinate and oversee cases to assist informal kinship carers with advice, practical support and referrals as well as advocacy and education within government and the general community.

Who is the service for?

The service will provide an ongoing networking with relevant stakeholders and raise the awareness of informal kinship carers and support the delivery of community campaigns to remove the stigma and normalise informal kinship care.

 

Referral from Community/Government Services or self-referrals.

Referrals will come through the Strong Families, Safe Kids, Advice and Referral Line. 1800 000 123
