Communities for Children South East Tasmania deliver programs and activities in the areas of:

  • Southern Midlands
  • Upper Derwent Valley/Central Highlands
  • Brighton
  • Derwent Valley

Communities for Children provides programs and activities tailored for families with children aged 0-12, focusing on key areas such as Safety, Resilience, and Aspirations. Including:

Healthy young families — supporting parents to care for their children before and after birth and throughout the early years

Supporting families and parents — support for parents to provide children with secure attachment, consistent discipline and quality environments that are stable, positive, stimulating, safe and secure

Early learning

  • Offering access to exceptional early learning opportunities during the pre-school years
  • Detecting and addressing developmental and behavioural challenges in children at an early stage
  • Empowering parents with strategies to enhance child development and learning starting from infancy
  • Facilitating seamless school transitions and fostering ongoing school engagement for children and families by collaborating closely with local schools.

Our aim is to establish resilient and child-centric communities that recognise the significance of children and channel this awareness to optimise the health, well-being, and early growth of young individuals within the local context.
