Communities for Children works collaboratively with organisations in the community to develop, design and implement a variety of programs for families with children 0 to 12 years of age.

We have programs in schools and communities. Helping Young Families, My Family Food Pantry, Kids in the Kitchen, Dads Matter are just a few examples of what we do.

We are able to offer families on-going support in the areas of parenting, relationships, education with access to both individual and group support. Our basic aim is to enhance and enrich families and celebrate their strengths and work with them to identify their aspirations, goals and needs.

When appropriate we ‘warmly’ connect families to a broad range of services in the Burnie community.

We are funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS).
