Carer Support by Carers Tasmania
Carers Tasmania is the peak body that represents and advocates for more than 80,000 unpaid family and friend carers in Tasmania. Carers Tasmania is part of the National Carer Network and a member of Carers Australia.
Carers Tasmania supports carers through its service delivery arm, Care2Serve. Care2Serve is the Tasmanian provider of Carer Gateway program, an Australian Government Initiative to assist and support family and friend carers across the country.
Our mission is to improve the health, wellbeing, resilience and financial security of carers and to ensure that caring is a shared responsibility of family, community, and government. Carers Tasmania encourages partnerships with governments and the health and community sectors to enhance service provision and improve conditions for family or friend carers through policy development, research and advocacy.
Carers Tasmania regularly consults with carers across the state on matters involving them to promote better outcomes for carers. If you would like to have a say or share your story to help inform our advocacy efforts, you can do so by visiting our Have Your Say page – https://carerstas.org/contact-us/have-your-say/. The page includes a form where you can provide feedback, select topics of concern, and request follow-up. All submitted information is kept confidential.
