Care2Serve is the service delivery arm of Carers Tasmania and the Tasmanian provider of Australian Government Carer Gateway program.

Through Care2Serve, Tasmanian family and friend carers can access a range of support and information that can help them in their caring role. If you need help in your caring role, Care2Serve can provide advice, information, and referrals, provide you with a tailored solution specific to your needs, we can also help you take a break, or be there for you in case of emergencies.

Care2Serve works directly with carers to understand their situation and needs and to put this into a personalised Carer Support Plan. Support and services are free and may look like:

• Information, advice, and referrals to help you navigate available services.
• Tailored Support Packages, such as practical assistance with planned respite care or help at home with cleaning and meal preparation.
• Access to safe and confidential counselling services.
• One-on-one coaching to work on your goals with a carer coach.
• Coordinating bookings to help the person you care for access residential respite if they are over the age of 65, or over the age of 50 if they are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
• Connection to other carers through wellbeing events, retreats, or peer support groups.
• Emergency support in case an injury or illness prevents you from providing care.

Who this service is for

Carers who provide unpaid care and emotional support to a family member or friend with disability, chronic or life-limiting illness, mental ill health, alcohol or other drug dependence, or who is frail or aged.
